Tiffany Said:

Distance learning information?

We Answered:

I did my MBA at caluniversity.edu, which offers distance learning programs, admission’s counselors will make your education experience smoother and easier than you ever thought possible. You can take up any of the new courses among several Masters and Doctorate programs available.

I just heard about an online contest - “California InterContinental University 2009 Scholarship Prize Essay Contest” it’s about an essay writing contest and the winner gets prize money.

What Qualifications Would I Need To Have To Become A Marine Biologist?

We Answered:

in the UK, an A-level in biology, two other a-levels with high mark (e.g. A's and B's) and probably a degree from a university in marine biology. All worth it though, its supposed to be a pretty cool career

Christina Said:

Reputable Marine Biology and/or Herpetology courses in California?

We Answered:

Definitely UC Davis. UC Los Angeles and UC San Diego are also known for their science programs, so I'm sure they have great marine biology courses as well. However, all three of these schools are extremely competitive. It would be awesome to go to UCSD (San Diego) cuz the city is great and you could try to work at Sea World!

Marine Zoology/Marine Vertibrate Zoology distance learning?

We Answered:

hmmm, i don't really know about marine zoology but i'm about to finish my PhD in marine biology, and i know it is a pretty hands on learning process. Usually degrees such as these require a lot of courses that involve being on the water, at least when job time comes around if you want good credentials.

Chances for top schools, such as MIT, Harvard, Caltech, Stanford, etc?

We Answered:

When I first started reading your stats, I was thinking they are a bit on the weak side for the top tier schools. However, your research experience is a very large plus. If it is as extensive as you seem to make it, it should make up for any deficiencies in your stats. And the deaf issue will also only help. If you do a good job on your essays and your recs are strong, then you have a strong chance at a number of those top schools, especially Caltech and MIT. Without the research, I think your chances would have been much lower.
