This allows you to flex those parts of the brain that deal with problem-solving, seeing patterns, memory, sequential processing, and pattern recognition.
6. Sleep Well

While sleeping is the time when the body rebuilds and recharges itself, the brain is actually very active during sleep.  Sleeping is involved in the learning and memory process in several important ways. The brain makes a lot of connections during the day, but not all of them are worth saving; so sleep is a time in which the brain streamlines the connections it “needs.” Most professionals believe that you should sleep for at least six to eight hours a day to avoid the effects of sleep deprivation. Just as sleep refreshes and rejuvenates your body, relaxation refreshes and rejuvenates your brain. The relaxation response reduces the body’s metabolism, heart and breathing rate, blood pressure, muscle tension, and calms brain activity. A trip to the spa or meditation will certainly give your mind a break from all its weighty responsibilities. After a bit of relaxation, you will feel revitalized, reinvigorated, and ready to take on the world!
