Do you have to take SAT/ACT to get into college? We Answered:
Because you'll have already taken college classes, you'll be applying to the university as a transfer student. And because you'll have been in the Army, you'll be considered a "mature student". Thus most universities won't require you to take the SAT or ACT. A few might. U Missouri doesn't require the SAT or ACT for transfer students, so you're in great shape. They do have specific coursework they need you to complete before you can apply to transfer, so look at this page, and make sure you take those classes while you're in the Army:

It looks like Missouri does offer a lot of classes online:

Your idea of taking your online classes via Missouri is a good one.
Once you've got a post in the Army, visit the Army Education Center there. They'll tell you how all this works. In addition, often, there are college classes given on post. Check those out. And finally, if you find yourself struggling in a class, make sure that the Army knows that. The guys in your unit will go out of their way to help you figure out how to succeed in that class.
But for now, check this info out:

The University of Nebraska (Lincoln) has a very good correspondence high school.http://nebraskahs.unl.edu/
You might also consider looking into an apprenticeship at a a local newspaper or tv station in their news dept.
In the meantime, start putting together a portfolio of articles you have written, especially those which get published.

Please critique my Cover Letter & Resume honestly, give me any and all helpful thaughts!!?We Answered:
don't mention the negatives such as the high turnover. also don't waste your time and paper trying to be a waiter. you were a soldier and a prison guard? for gods sake get a job as a commisioneer giving out parking tickets for twice the pay and none of the hassle. they only hire ex millitary or ex police. what about a bank guard or something a little more prestiges that actually pays the bills and has better hours?Christine Said:
