I'm finding it a little hard to believe that you can't find schools that offer a PhD or EdD in education. I can't think of any major research universities that do NOT offer the degree.

There are no respectable online doctoral programs in business. The ones that come from for-profit institutions will be laughed at if you try to use it as credentials to get into teaching. Also, you would be a fool to have to pay your own way through a doctoral program; find a tuition waiver/stipend through GA/TA positions, they are most common approach for business doctoral degrees (real ones) and give you teaching experience that you will need.

Hey, sorry to be a killjoy but there are things you should consider before opting for a bachelor's degree in psychology. Perhaps you should instead opt for a degree in Social Work instead. This is because Social Work degrees not only explore the psychology and sociology aspects, but they also provide a decent communications background that helps you understand how to speak and deal with future clients. Psychology itself as a major is very rigid and opaque, it's set in stone and there is hardly any room for creativity or adaptation. It's very objective and half of it is based on theory that lacks solid substance. It will teach you how people act, but it won't teach you how to HELP people. Social Work is the field you are looking for. And since it's a career-oriented field, establishing good connections with a Social-Work advisor can get you into a good masters program so you can be an LCSW and pursue your goal of helping people.

The social work curriculum encompasses more than just psychology and to be honest, a major in psychology is nothing but a humdrum repetition of the same concepts with no expansion over the course of four long years. Think about it, would you like to spend all that money learning something that won't give you the interpersonal skills you need to function in your future career?
