as a math teacher- i use what i know- an overhead from a computer with a hand forwarder( from a superstore) to forward slides so i dotn have to keep running back to to the computer.
i know how to use the einstrucit on remote clickers for kids to key in answers_ saves a lot of time getting feedback off kids. even to ask them yes on no to a questions-= i [personally would pick that up later if my school had the technology.
the main piece of software u will have to deal with is yr gradebook and how that is set up- copy a more experienced teacher for guidelines at first. !!!!

I'm not exactly sure what your question is but I know in my high school most of our math classes use graphing calculators, which is pretty cool technology!

Technology can supplement the traditional methods of teaching. A teacher using a P.C. can actually demonstrate to the students what he's teaching with examples. The students can be shown how experiments are conducted, how a complicated mechanical device is built etc.

If you want technology in teaching math ideas, you could cover how computers help with learning and practicing concepts. An opposing view might be how using technology forgoes learning the basics makes people dependent on them.

I think the other answer was opposite, math in technology. Binary, Hexadecimal and Octal number set are used by computers. Algebra teaches logic concepts, used by programmers. Trigonometry teaches spacial relationships used in engineering and design. Calculus applies to other items such as charge and discharge of a capacitor or inductor.
